3rd edition

In 1996, a revival of sorts was attempted with the introduction of 3rd edition. It included many changed systems from the first two editions, with some simplified and some more complex procedures replacing the original systems. For many reasons I could not embrace this system. There were some very good bits to it, but certain things, like combat, turned me off, and so despite generating new characters, and converting older ones, and trying hard to like it, I did not find it a suitable replacement for the older versions.

One big book, with dubious format, feeling almost as dense as 1st edition

I liked a lot of this book, nice breakdown of the properties of beast for magic use

Badly edited book, many errors, very disappointing
