A much abused, an ancient first draft of my world, drawn during the summer of 1977, the summer between grades 11 & 12. At the time this was drafted I was on a month long sojourn in the Loire valley in France ostensibly there to learn French, but really just bumming around the city of Tours.

The first draft of my world

4th edition, The Rebirth
In 2000, another attempt was made to update the rules, the result was the rebirth! Far more engaging than third edition, better layout, less eye strain, easy to read. Still essentially third edition in a much better format, and well supported by additional books, including some campaign guides.
They also put the 'k' back into magick!

3rd edition
In 1996, a revival of sorts was attempted with the introduction of 3rd edition. It included many changed systems from the first two editions, with some simplified and some more complex procedures replacing the original systems. For many reasons I could not embrace this system. There were some very good bits to it, but certain things, like combat, turned me off, and so despite generating new characters, and converting older ones, and trying hard to like it, I did not find it a suitable replacement for the older versions.
The second edition
So in 1983 a second edition was released. Instead of the one densely packed volume we were presented with three books. The first covered character generation and rules for skills, the second volume covered the world around us and combat, and the third book contained the rules for magick, and a lengthy bestiary.

The original edition
The 1st edition, the one that introduced us to an amazing new world, with one of the greatest magick systems ever created. What follows are pictures of my collection. The last picture shows the results of many years of using the rules. Note, the binding on these books was never that great, so over the years I sought out an found back up/extra copies of most of the books. Currently I have two intact copies of the main rule book, the "Red Book" with the remains of my original edition in a 3 ring binder.
I recently came across an fairly good, in the box, copy of Land of the Rising Sun, so two copies of that book too.
At one time I held a copy of Saurians in my hands at my local store, but put it back on the rack as I was not interested in it at the time. Later when I did develop an interest, it was no longer available. It took a few years to finally find a copy.
